Today is Citizen Science Day, and hundreds of citizen science projects are kicking off worldwide to celebrate!

On our side, we, the Human Computation Institute together with SciStarter, have prepared a very special CitSciDay HERO challenge, involving citizen science badges that we've been developing.

CitSciDay HERO challenge is LIVE NOW!

CitSciDay HERO will run from 9am ET, April 14th, to 9am ET, April 21st. Find the step-by-step instructions here.

The challenge includes multiple citizen science projects in three tracks - missions:

Projects with a biomedical focus:

Stall Catchers, MalariaSpot, Foldit, Mozak, Mark2Cure, Cochrane Crowd, Etch a Cell

Citizen science games:

Stall Catchers, MalariaSpot, Foldit, Mozak, Decodoku, Quantum Moves and Turbulence by ScienceAtHome, Phylo

SciStarter projects:

Stall Catchers, CitSciScribe, iNaturalist, Globe at Night, CitSci.org, CoCoRaHS, Project Squirrel, Stream Selfie

Everyone who completes all three missions will be eligible for the CitSciDay HERO badge!
