Happy Holidays, dear Catchers! πŸŽ‰

We know things have been a little quiet in Stall Catchers, and you've been itching for a challenge... Well here I am to give you one! πŸ˜ƒ Perhaps a little different than usual... a spelling challenge!

Yes, you heard that right. We'd like your help to spell "Happy New Year" with vessels!

Wait what?

We're drawing inspiration from the legendary Galaxy Zoo project who, with the help of one of their volunteers, figured out how to spell EVERYTHING with galaxies!!! You can check it out and galaxify anything you want here.

The other source of inspiration, however, was our very own "funny vessels" thread on the forum! You can check it out here. And here's some of the best examples from it:

"Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh" by catcher Tacitsci.
"Cat tail" by catcher gcalkins.
"Dragonfly" by seplute.

And once upon a time, I even started spelling things myself, haha!

Wouldn't it be fun to create a way to spell everything with vessels?!

They are in such versatile shapes, so we can totally find the whole alphabet of vessels, right? :) Once we do, we can create a similar (very simple) tool, such as My Galaxies.

We're starting with "Happy New Year" and will go from here!

What do you need to do?

Catch stalls, as usual, and keep an eye out for vessels that look like letters! Take a snap (screenshot is best - you can use the "PrtSc" button on your computer keyboard, an in-built tool in your browser (Firefox has a great one, e.g.), Window screenshot tool (see here) or other; if you need help taking a screenshot just let us know!), and post in on the forum here: http://forum.hcinst.org/t/spelling-challenge-we-want-to-create-a-vessel-alphabet/670

Let's go!!!

The catcher who "catches" the most vessel-letters will get a special prize! :) (spoiler alert: the realization of the prize will depend directly on the vessel-letters we have! 😈)
